I was wondering about the Aks DVD. It was a collector edition 2 disc set and yet, when initially released, it was 33% squashed anamorphic.

Did they ever fix this problem??

Seen one of the version ages ago when released. And it wasn't squashed from what i remember.. Could be wrong..

According to ali..

Video is exactly the same on both DVDs of Aks - second dual disc has proper 5.1 sound unlike the first Eros version.

That means pic stayed squashed.

Actually it can be viewed un-squashed if you have a 4:3 TV and fool the player for a 16:9 TV, but you have no advantage (actually the pic will be worst than letterbox DVD) of the anamorphic enhancement.

Actually, I was hoping that EROS fixed it like Jodi #1, Aashiq etc.

How does one tell the difference between the two different versions. I would like to buy a copy with the proper 5.1 sound, but would hate to end up with the same disc that I already have.

The two disc edition with BBFC 15 certificate is the one with the proper 5.1 audio - the first single disc release didn’t have the 15 certificate.
