Although FBI knew about it all along, Journalists figured it out and made it into news that Kandahar actor is wanted by FBI for killing an Iranian diplomat in U.S. some 21 yrs back.

In Film business, publicity, good or bad, is good for the business. First it was troubles in Afghanistan coinciding with the Film’s release. Now it is in the news again for its actor (one of the main actors or perhaps he is the hero) most wanted in America for Murder/ Assasination. He had killed an Iranian diplomat in U.S. during the Shah of Iran era. He managed to escape quickly, has been on the FBI wanted list and is out of reach of U.S. authorities. About 3 yrs back, knowing that he is at safe place, he had given an interview to a U.S. TV station about the details and reasons for the killing.
