Hey folks,
My friend had bought the Mahabharat series box set, authored by Video Sound and the first 8 discs weren't playing on his dvd player, so he had to return them. We all know that Video Sound discs tend to stop working after a while (i.e. dvd rot). I guess thats what happened to the dvds, although they were brand new.
My friend wants to buy the dvd set again, hoping that all discs will work this time.
Does anyone here own the dvds and have had any problems with them?

I own most of the discs and I haven't had any major problems playing them. The only problem I had is on one disc, the making-of was missing, and I think another making-of was repeated on 2 discs. I didn't buy the box set, I have them in separate Amaray cases, if that makes a difference.

Try a different Player. It is a common problem with Panasonic type Playes.
