Hi guys,

I have begun (and nearly finished) work on the DVD catalogue (as discused in previous thread).

Sample Screenshot

Ali... Not sure if you received my previous messages; Can I borrow some of your reviews (zulm.net) to post in the demo site?

Will try and get up a working site by end of weekend!

Feedback????

Yes, thought about that but was not sure how to incorporate it as would have to list prices for UK, USA etc. Maybe have a link to another site/page for price comparing.

Can anyone list all (as many as you can) known dvd distributors out there.... i.e Eros, DEI, Yashraj etc.

Cheers!

er... I personally dont have a huge list and it mught end up being a search throught peoples collection, perhaps if we just list what we come across?

Okay then I'm goign to add

apollo
spark/soven
metrodome
columbia tristar
tip top DVD

not much of a list ??? but a couple of extremes in there :DD:

perhaps you could have a word with a dvd retailer to get a list indiancdstore.com or cdguru.com, as long as it is store in a database it should be quick.

I think Tips Films have started making their own DVDs as well.

Just wanted to echo everyone else's opinion, the database looks really good. It'll be a very helpful resource for buyers when it's completed. We all appreciate your hard work. :)

that looks very professional. Was it pretty straightforward to design or did it take a lot of looking up and stuff? Also, had you studied web designing prior to creating this database? Thanks.

Hi abrocketsfan,

Yup! I am a Software/Web Developer (recently made redundant) and have lots of free time! Hindi Cinema is my first passion; and the idea for this came about because, I have spend hundreds of pounds on purely "sh**e" dvds. I wanted to start a comprehensive database that would help others out there who also get short changed with pirated dvds. I hope this database will help them before buying dvds.

About the site, the entire concept was developed/coded in 2 days. As a I am also a graphics designer, I do all the graphics input in my projects. The demo site should be finished in a day or two.....
