I'm having to use my PS2 at the moment to play dvds. The problem is I'm trying to play Devdas through my PS2 but the picture is coming out in black and white. I was told to get a region X disc and a RGB connection scart which I got but still to no avail.

You may say the TV is at fault but I can these disks through my sony dvd player with no problems.

Is there a way of switching the PS2 settings to NTSC or is there any other soultion.

i actually presumed it was your telly... but lik eyou said ure sony dvd player works fine... what I think the problem maybe is that the your sony actually has a inbuilt coverter that converts the stream into PAL 60.. not exactly pal but it comes out in colour... PS2 is shit in that case cos it has no way of converting the stream.. if i was u stick to ure Sony to play DVDs, mainly cos the PS2 is the worst player available.. what i suggest is get the Xbox.. its got one of the best DVD playbacks ive ever seen and even gives my pioneer 545 its run for its money!!
