What do you mean by zone 1? None of the Indian DVDs by Eros, YRF, Video Sound, Spark and others are region encoded! All are region free and nearly all are NTSC, even ones sold in the UK are NTSC and region free.

Few exceptions are when an Indian DVD is released by a Hollywood studio; Lagaan, Mission Kashmir, Monsoon Wedding (and maybe a few more) are few DVDs that are region coded to 1 (NTSC, USA/CAN)

Ali is absolutely right. What I meant was that almost all Indian DVDs will play on Region 1 DVD players (unless they are genious Video Sound's limited view DVDs).

Now that is the funniest and also the most appropriate description of Video Sound DVDs I have ever heard.

You are laughing when I am crying.

My first three VS DVDs were bought from a VS official distributor about 18 months ago. None of them work now and I didn't play them more than 5 hrs average, each DVD.

I haven't encounetred this problem with any other brand so far, not even those problematic discs that others have encountered (my Sony DVD player is very forgiving).
