Ratings are based on the box office collections and the cost of the film
**** Now once forever! I dont mean, ROAD is a BAD film, as it DIFFERENT and it should FLOP! same for SHAKTI and GUNNAH! etc!
It does not mean, that we PREFER mush! and want MUSH to SUCCEED! I had been CONSISTENTLY! against! the MIGHTY Success of MOHABTAEN, K3G and MYKSH and DONT agree MDK and MYKSH even MOHABTAEN were very GOOD films either!
But! OVERSEAS! see the RECORD! SET them STRAIGHT! thats what PEOPLE PATRONIZE!
In india some times, PEOPLE's VERDICT is BETTER, KINDA rejecting YHJ/MYKSH, MDK! etc!!
NOW! Road!! RGV, makes DIFFERENT films..Some had been really GOOD!
RANGEELA..was more COMMERCIAL.
SATYA..was BRILLIANT.
KAUN..I loved the film!besides its FATE!
MAST..I liked it too!!Besides its fate! (I noticed ANTRA MAALI as AFTAB's BUDDY, being NON GLAMOROUS but VERY NATURAL PERFORMER, MADE HER PRESENCE FELT) and MY VERDICT! was ANTRA MAALI, has POTENTIAL and she will make it!!
PTKK..WAS v GOOD film,
JUngle..I 'll call it RAMU got LOST in that one!
COMPANY! was SATYA partII, gone west! well, crafted!
Now! Road! and BHOOT! can go JUNGLE/KAUN ways too as far as BUISNESS is concerned! But will still remain, DIFFERENT kinda cINEMA!
A few more Different kinda films, that did not have COMMERCIAL viability are AGNI VARSHA and SUR..that became DISASTOURS!
AANKHEN!! If u ASK me! was a DIFFERENT film, BUT I was not IMPRESSED!
AKS..Gone wrong way! too EXPERIMENTAL!
ECSLS!! Now this is a DIFFERENT story!! CHOTHA CHOTHA love SCENES made it a HIT!
FIZA/ZUBAIDA!/KHAMOSHI..the musical.! Brilliant Films with BRILLIANT acting..BIT DUST!(SLB..had to go COMMERCIAL way)
SHAKTI..the POWER! Besides being with GOOD PERFORMANCES and HIT Kamina number, along with ADDED attraction by SRK sp apperance, was able to DRAW audience! INITIALLy overseas, too, as SRK and AISH were DECORATING the POSTERS! but FOLLOW THROUGH!! is dependent upon, FILM's own POWER! and OUR MUSH oriented PUBLIC does not GO for POWER of KARISMA and NANA!
CRITIC...trade pundits!! Latelly, have taken their EYES! off of, GOOD CINEMA! QUALITY, NOVELITY! they R praising MUSH!! all the WAYS!! because, they KNOW! it will click, and they will make NAME! What is thier credibility? ZERO!!
I still remember!! REDIFF!! Calling YAADEIN..a MASTERPIECE and HAVING PUBLIC EATING OUT OF GHAII's HANDS!
I can also, REMEMBER! Excessive PRAISE for RAAZ when it became HIT!! It was an INFANTILE film, with some GOOD musical melody!
BIPASHA BASU! IMHO, has SEX appeal, but is OVERRATED ACTRESS!! as well as KARIENA(POO) Kapoor!
Bipasha and KARIENA has both being BITING DUST lately!! as ONLY GLAMOUR POWER>>>FIDDLES!!Screen presence because of GOOD BODY and LESS CLOTHES! VS SCREEN PRESENCE because of UR NATURAL ACTING ABILITIES are 2 DIFFERENT! ASSETS! One LOOSES over the TIME! The other KEEP GAINING as time goes!
