Rajnikant: Baba black sheep

In a recent press conference Southern superstar Rajnikant, whose latest flick Baba has not lived up to the expectations of his fans, announced his plans to launch the next venture. KS Ravi Kumar has been zeroed on in to direct the venture and should begin shooting sometime this month. The film is an attempt to compensate the producers and distributors who have faced heavy losses due to Baba. The new film will be given to the exhibitors at a price that will enable them to recover their losses and make some profit.

I can tell you that Ayngaran are already invloved in this next project as BABA has grossed well in western and far eastern markets like UK, USA, Japan and Indonesia. Dispite audiences being quite upset at the sci-fi/devotianial film.

BABA (Anti-Pirate Edition) will be out on DVD next week (anamorphic 2.35:1 and mono sound) which will be released by Ayngaran to satisfy the audience who can't wait for the film to be relased and care not for quality.

While BABA (Special Edition) will be out on DVD by the end of the year on a two disc set with (anamorphic 2.35:1 and Dolby Digital 5.1 Tamil and Telugu) and will be done in decent quality.

I'm glad in a way it has flopped in India as it shows that even Indian superstar's must not take us audiences for fools...I hope Rajinikants next film (which will be shot on low budget) will be his cinematic crowing moment before his enters politics for good.
