Box office response to "Shakti" and "Gunaah"

Boney Kapoor´s Shakti, one of the most hyped movies in recent times, has opened to average response to the box office. Though some critics have praised it, many others have trashed it. Nana Patekar, Karishma Kapoor, Deepti Naval and even Sanjay Kapoor to a certain level, have all been praised for their performances. It remains to be seen if the movie can spread by word of mouth, assuming the audience actually likes it.
Gunaah, the movie that brings back the Dino-Bipasha pair together again after "Raaz", has also opened to below average response. The movie has not recieved good response from most critics either. It remains to be seen how it continues to do, but definitely this won´t even reach close to the success that "Raaz" achieved.
