Screen Caps
Are they Full frame or Half Frame??

I understand all screen caps posted on zulm.net are obtained using Power DVD software. I was wondering if these screen caps are full frame which is composed of two video fields or are these screen caps from a single video field which is half video frame.

At one time Ali did mention that Power DVD screen capture software picks two proper video fields giving one full frame. Is it so??

If so, how does Power DVD screen capture software identify which fields to pair?? Recall that most of the Indian DVDs are not even recognized as Film mode by Power DVD.

Or, is it that whatever routine Power DVD uses, to output the signal for computer (progressive) monitors, is also used for screen captures?? If so, then progressive DVDs will give the original film frame 720 x 480 and the interlaced DVDs will give a 720 x 480 frame computed from a 720 x 240 original half video frame.

Thanks.

Rana
