Just wanted advice/help on these titles b4 I order them.

1) Andaz is the Dilip Kumar/Raj Kappor film, there's 2 version (GVI/Eros), which one is the better of the two.

2) Devdas the Dilip Kumar version, is the film cut on the Yash Raj dvd.

3) HAHK: Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, is the film anamorphic on the DEI edition, and is it worth it getting the double disk edition???

4) Professor- The Shammi Kapoor film. I want to know how good/bad the dvd is.

Any help with these disks and help in tracking online retailers who stock them would help. Many thanks in advance 4 any info provided :stupid: :doze:

DEI DVD is not anamorphic and it's cropped close to 1.85:1. At all costs avoid the Eros 2 disc version, its the one of the worst DVDs I've seen.

Can anybody shed some light on the B4U version and the GVI version of Andaz. I really need to know the quality of GVI dvd's and which one has the longer cut  :oo:

Does anyone know anything about the GVI Andaz dvd???

Came across it on the play.com website and have heard a lot about it. Thinking about purchasing it and seeing as DVD quality has generally gotten worse, the standards of this one I'm assuming can't be too bad.

It would be much appreciated if anyone does know anything.

From all the companies that released Professor on DVD, the BEI version is the one to go after imho.

Here you can find the screenshots of the BEI version of Professor:

The Eros/B4U copy of Andaz is much better than the GVI version. It is interlaced but the GVI version is from a worn print. Neither are perfect but the Eros is better.

i used to own a VHS copy of the DEI version of "HAHK"; i then decided to get eros's 2-disc "full version." the print of the VHS was MUCH better than is that of my 2 new DVDs. the only advantage of eros's edition, is that it is presented in a 2.35:1 AR (as opposed to DEI's predilection for the cropped 1.85:1). other than that, even the extra length doesn't persuade one to get eros's trash release.
