Does Ayngaran have the rights to Iruvar, or is it someone else? Is a DVD available yet?

Ayngaran have rights to all of Ratnam's films as of now as they have expired with Pyramid, and all of his films should be on DVD before August 2003...including Iruvar

I hope this is going to be a 2-disc SE like the ones Sunny mentioned, with some documentary/extras about the anti-Hindi struggle in Tamil Nadu, the rise of the Dravidian movement and the real life relationship between Karunanidhi and MGR.

Chaver.

From what Ayngaran tell me Mani Ratnam doesn't want to even give for the DVD the original trailer for the film. They wanted to launch their collectors edition with a Mani Ratnam film but he declined. I had wirtten an e-mail (courtesy of Ayngaran) asking him to change his mind but so far I have had no response :(
