I personally think Mahalaxmi Iyer is one of the most under-used and underrated singers at the moment. Listening to Kabhi Shaam Dale from Sur at the moment, and this girl can sing!!! I'm surprised she hasn't had more songs.

On this note, I also think that M.M Kreem is one of the most underrated music directors - Sur is a fantastic soundtrack, and a wicked follow-up to Zakhm - any idea which other films he has composed music for (apart from Criminal)?

Well not quite of the current generation, yet i think Suresh Wadkar never quite got his due....some of his gems include....'Saanjh Dhale, gagan tale' from 'Utsav', 'Aey Zindagi, gale laga le' from 'Sadma'.....also liked his 'Bhanware ne khilayaa phool, phool ko le gaya raj kunwar' from 'Prem Rog'....he arrived tad too early and Udit Narayan sorta stole the posit meant for him....truly talented singer...

I heard somewhere that Suresh Wadkar rejected Madhuri Dixit's hand in marriage before she became famous............
