Iv been reading the posts about the different versions of the Devdas dvd and I'm still trying to figure it all out. I got my dvd the other day (this is in NY) and this is what it was like: It had the same cover as the Curtain Raiser DVD and it said Anamorphic Widescreen DVD on the front cover. It had a golden bar all around it like the Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam DVD and on the top it said 16x9 Enhanced Anamorphic Widescreen. And it had the Eros icon on the right hand corner. The back seemed to look like a picture printed from a computer... it also said Anamorphic and had that golden bar surrounding it. It said on the bottom all the eros contact information and said 166 Minutes, dolby digital 5.1 surround, and english subtitles.
When the dvd came on, it had an fbi warning and jumped straight to the main menu which looked like an original real dvd menu- it just had this one pic in the background and had an option to press play movie or songs.
In the songs menu it had pic of srk and ash and the titles of the songs were all wierd: for maardala they put yeh kiski hai ahat, for bairi piya they put bada bedar de, and for silsila yeh they put ab aja mere piya, and the wierdest part was that in the movie when the song starts, it stops halfway and then goes on to some other scene, and when that scene is done, the song picks up where it left off!
The songs menu also had "Bhanwra" or something like that which was when ash went running into her room before devdas arrived. The print looked ok at some parts, but the color was kinda off- madhuri's green dress in maardala looked completely orange & red.
The subtitles are there but are not removable- they're in the songs and all the songs are there.
As a matter of fact I noticed that the Kaahe Chedd song was longer on the dvd than what i saw in the theaters. I checked for all of the extra scenes that have been talked about and there is absolutely nothing there.
There is no chapter menu, and when you click next on the remote it just takes you to the next song.
The subtitles were really white and u could barely read it- i know that some scenes had to have been cut out from this dvd because there are scenes where something starts and then it just changes to a different scene just like that.
Well thats what the dvd was like, and my question is: How will I be able to recognize the dvd that has the extra scenes in it- what does the cover look like? And what is the dvd like as well- any subtitles or good sound or print?

OK! some of MADURIA's Fans! watch for 2 dvd version too, I bewared u guys in ADVANCE!

Warning to all consumers that there is a pirated DVD of Devdas for rent and sale, which is a two disc set. A lot of video stores are telling consumers that the two disc DVD set of Devdas is the original DVD. However this is not the case as these DVDs are nothing more than pirated DVDs so avoid them at all cost. The Devdas DVD is yet to release by Eros Entertainment

I knew, there was high potential, for pirated to replicate curtain raiser, and include with PIRATED film DVd and PRESENT with HONOR as @ disc COLLECTOR EDITION! :bangbang: :ffs: :ffs:
