Yes, you heard right. MK is coming out soon. It will be released by Columbia Tristar under a new label called "Destination Films". Unfortuantly there are no specs as yet but stay tunned. For more infomation, check http://www.dvdtimes.co.uk under the news heading "Columbia Tristar's "Destination Films" label. :D

man, i was JUST about to post this news. Here it is from Animenation: http://animenation.net/news/news.php3

Columbia Confirms Cowboy Bebop Movie Distribution
A new press flyer distributed by Columbia Pictures provides the first public information on Columbia's new home video subdivision Destination Films. "Destination Films," the advertisement states, will be "a destination for eclectic, quality films like anime, shorts, cult movies and more." The initial line-up of confirmed Destination Films titles includes Metropolis, "Cowboy Bebop: The Movie," Jackie Chan's Drunken Master and Snake in Eagle's Shadow, John Woo's Once a Thief and Ringo Lam's Full Contact - both starring Chow Yun Fat, the massively popular 1999 Korean special-forces/police action film Shiri, "An Evening with Kevin Smith," the big budget 2000 action film from India Mission Kashmir , and the 1993 rap music "mockumentary" Fear of a Black Hat.

I am also looking forward to the Drunken Master, Full Contact and Once a Thief DVDs...

And you all should really check out the Korean film Shiri - it's VERY good movie, on par with MK!!!

Great news! - thanks the1sanj! Made my day, I can sleep in peace :D

I've had dual disc limited edition of Shiri on DVD for while now but not watched it yet! - not had the time. I've heard it's a top flick - got to watch it soon. But this MK news is just brilliant, more power to CT, hope more Indian films join this new label.

Mission Kashmir is the film that has always been No 1 on my most wanted list, so this is better news than even the Lagaan (Columbia) anouncement. But let everyone be warned, someone is gonna get hurt if this info turns out to be not true. :D

Oh by the way is this news related to only Region 2, or is it also related to Region 1? It would be a courageous man who would answer in the negative. :D

First some good dvds for Lagaan and Asoka, and now this news of CT doing MK as well. Things are suddenly starting to look up for us Indian dvd fans again.

Wow, that's cool news. Plus, we get "Drunken Master" and "Fear of a Black Hat"! For those of you who don't know, "Fear of a Black Hat" is a very funny rap mockumentary that "borrows" a bit from "This is Spinal Tap." If you liked TIST, you'll like "Fear of a Black Hat."

That is really great news. I wait almost a year for MK. I hope that this time it is true. And it's great that a Major Company is doing the dvd. MK is a movie that deserves the same threatment. I hope that CT or some other Major Company will pick some more Indian films (for example Kaante or L.O.C.)

This news is most certainly good news, its good to see a growing number of Indian film titles on an international DVD company. Mission Kashmir, Lagaan, Asoka (and maybe even Kaante). I hope M:K DVD comes with DTS sound.
