Just saw the film Sammurai, and despite a good story, and great action scenes (would put APD to shame) the film disspoints quite heavy with bad comedy tracks, poor dances, and avarage technical values.

Actor Vikram, whose last films Dhil, Gemini, and Kasi, all were blockbuster hits might have hit on his first high-budget dud. I doubt there will be a Hindi remake of this one!

Also have heard snippets of Baba soundtrack on the trailer of the film, which was seen during intermission of Sammurai, and is sounds too much like a Deva score instead of Rahman. However the new trademark of Rajni will catch on fast with various other actors, and the film does look quite promising!

I couldn't believe that actor Shatrughan Sinha was in the film's trailer it was quite a surprise for me. There is also some Japanesse actress (for the Japan market), and the action scenes look quite fantastic with Rajni smoking a beedi, and wearing a bandana while doing some Indian kung-fu shit! Top class. Finally after three years of being absent this is one Rajnikant film I will be looking forward to!

There was also a excellent trailer of Devdas, dubbed in Tamil and I prayed for Ayngaran to hold the rights to this film so that the DVD would be good. Alas this wasn't to be its by some company call Tamilni a company worse then EROS. The film comes out in September 2002.
