A great honor for Shabana!


Shabana Azmi will be only the second Indian to be honoured at the New York Film Festival that will run from September 27 to October 13 2002. Ritwik Ghatak was the first Indian to be honored at the festival. The film festival will showcase the best of Azmi's work including films like Godmother, Fire, Ankur and Mandi. Meanwhile, Vishal Bharadwaj's Makdi that has Shabana Azmi as a witch has been nominated for New York Film Festival award.
