received my copy of the APD dvd a few days ago & was dissapointed.

firstly when i played the dvd the audio was breaking up & they was no audio at all & then it picked up again but kept breaking up. tried to change the settings on the dvd player from PAL to NTSC.

tried to play the dvd again & this time the audio was normal but the entire screen kept flashing. the picture gets bright & then goes dark. this happens continously throughout.

I doubt if it is a problem with my dvd player. i have bought dvd's from usa, india, malaysia & australia & not once have i had this problem. just looking at the APD dvd, it says the format is SDVD, just wanted to know if this could be the problem why it wasn't playing?

also if someone could tell me if all spark/soven dvd's are in the same format so i can avoid buying from them in the future. anyway could someone get back to me & help me resoleve this problem? thanks!

Is your DVD's output going to the VCR?
Seems like a macrovision issue to me. The way to correct that would be send the DVD signal directly to the TV and not through the VCR if that is indeed the case.
