Here's some screen shots of the Karz DVD being sold @ Indiaweekly. The cover and disc say it’s from Shemaroo but I very much doubt this a legit Shemeroo DVD;

..it's been sourced from an old Shiva Video VHS (included logo/trade marks with VHS tracking marks! ). The video is oddly framed top-centre at a AR of 1.70:1 and is appalling to say the least. The only legit Shemaroo DVD are the ones variable on their website @ http://www.shemaroo.com/ - the rest song compilation and this Karz DVD seem like pirates.

You should have seen the Esquire DVD of Karz...it's even worse than this. This looks like the Shiva Video Yaraana DVD that is circulating.

How are the making of featurettes on these discs? Are they informative of just fluff? Were they made for TV?

Been surprised by the extras on Karma, Hero and Karz - they seem to have been done especially for these DVDs. Nice touch. Pity about the DVD presentations of video and general quality - they should have been much better.

Sorry to disappoint - but these extras weren't done for the DVD especially. They were done by Sony TV last year when they did a film festival of Subhash Ghai's films.

karz is also cropped from sides!! it kinda give u feel of watching close to 4:3 as every thing happening in the middle! that was my observation, when i watched, bollywood hollywood in theatre, just weired framing..

When showed on Sony MAX is had a wider aspect ratio. Same case with Karma too.

1980 CC shows Film Length of 4382 meters i.e. 160 min run time.

Shemaroo DVD is 157 min (no 4% speed up).

So, not much is missing but watching the DVD, felt some discontinuities. Not sure if it's due to a few secs cut here and there or if it was the intention, to engage the viewer to assume ??.
