Did anyone else see Shahrukh khan being interviewed by Richard and Judy today talking about Devdas. He also talked about his rejection for a part in James Bond. He came across as a down to earth star and just seemed at ease

i just been watching it at work.. and i thought what a wanker!! mind my punjabi guys BTW!! Out of curiosity.. what is he doing in the UK.. not like he is doing that From Love with India concert.. so wat is this bullshit then yaar!!

im not a great fan of srk myself but have seen him interview a couple of times now!! the guy comes out really well and knows how to present himself hes genuinely witty and on the spot with his answers!! interviewers seem to respond well to him. only other person that know how to present himself in public is the big B himself. ab & srk are very good ambassadors for representing indian films on an international stage. compare them to likes of new comers like ab jrn, one-wonder-hit-rik even uneducated senile fools like subhash ghai and others that seems to be too star studded and heads stuck up their own arses to talk about anything meaningful apart from ‘this film im starring is great, its different, I read the script and it inspire me todo it’ yeh right!! :rolleyes: :where:

i guess one can attribute SRK's and AB's sophistication to their schooling. SRK obviously coming out on tops there with a Masters in Mass Comm. from Delhi. Also ofcourse it should be attributed to their inherent intelligence, which is alas lacking in most people otherwise. Exceptions being Saif Ali Khan who does carry himself rather well (attributed to Oxford ) and then also ofcourse Aamir, who comes out looking more judiciously studious than fun, but at least he does not bullshit. Amongst the females Sushmita is perhaps the best carried person. She's never at a loss for words. her Miss Universe grooming coming handy one guesses.

So what part in which James Bond film was he trying for? Did he say why he lost out?

it was a pivotal role within the movie where he resembles a stereotypical indian that wears a turban and big khussay.. his name is Appu and basically is a irritating comic rold which does not work, SRK basically failed the screentest thats why hes still in Bollywood...!!

I saw, other Miss world aish speaking on making of HKKN, man! i was extremely disappointed on her persona and presentation, that made her image much lower in my books, she does not know how to speak gracefully!
I think, Class matters, she should take some lessons from SUshmita, IMHO, best persona and image of sophistication and grace!
Look at her in making of Filhaal, and then compare her with Aish and even TABU in FILHAAL making, TABU looks like or comes out a cLASS LESS CHEEPO! It was digusting to see an actoress of her calibre with such lousy persona and presentation...yuk!!

I did not mean to overlook SRK, I think, he is pretty articulate while apeaking, AB is gifted with GOOD LANGUAGE, Sanjay Dutt, was terrible while speaking on HKKN making, shaking his leg all the time( pretty ill mannered, kinda rude, non polite ettiquetes, IMHO?

He's there for medical treatment for his back. (BTW, yes, I am scared by the fact that I know the answer to this.)

SKR is an accomplished actor and also a good personality who can portray the Bollywood scenes in a better light to the western audience. Some people don't like him because he is successful (this happened to AB when he started to challenge Sashi Kapoor and Rajesh Khanna for film roles). IMO SRK is doing well for the Indian film industry.
