I am about to record my fourth short feature for my course in two weeks and I'm still mixed in two minds about wot format I should use. I have already used Mini DV, which was quite cool. But now I have the choice of either DVcam or Digibeta?

If you was a newbie student film-maker and you was in the same predicament wot would you use?

You may want to post this question at this cinematography forum. Don't forget to ask about editing, features, resolution, etc. and cost if it is a factor in your project.

Quality and cost isn't really an issue as the marks for this assignment is just based on use of music in the narrative. So not too bothered as I would have gone for super 16mm. I have never used digi-beta nor DVcam so I thought of using either one of these video based cameras for my last assignment. Post-production isn't a problem as have got free access to a professional editing suite in west end, London which handles both formats!
