I saw a song from the forthcoming ajay devgun film, The legend of bhagat singh yesterday and the similarities in the song scene to chale chalo song scene from lagaan was amazing. I didnt know it was from the legend of bhagat singh till the end so i watched the whole song thinking it was some sort of unfunny parody of lagaan.
I was shocked when i found out it was from that film. Surely they could have come out with something more original.

well since both films feature the same music director (AR Rahman), who LOVES to copy and rehash his earlier work, I would say that the similarities are not surprising at all.

I thought so too, not quite pleased with the soundtrack of LOBS. Thought it was too modern sounding for a film set in the early 1900's. This is quite odd coming from the same guy who caught on the right sound for Lagaan, a film set yers before. I guess the director RK Santosh musical ears are not as trained. Devdas and Sur is the better works this year (so far).

I personally think the original Shaheed by Manoj Kumar will be still the better film out of these new breeds on the dedication of Bhagat Singh.
