YRF released DVDs Milan and Ek Duje Ke Liye (Prasad authored) have been reportrd to have good prints and yet I see double image in fast action freeze frames.

What does it mean? What is the reason for double image?

Are these DVDs in Film mode and can these the video fields from these DVDs be weaved into proper film frames?

Thanks.

Have not seen these DVDs, but all Yash Raj I have seen
except K3G are not with original half frames with 2:3
pulldown. The half frames and frames contain 2 film frames
in regular succession. You can not undo this. Every third
full frame looks wrong when you step through it.
cheers

Thanks Michel.
From your reply and from screen caps on zulm.net, I conclude that:
YRF DVDs done by Prasad Labs, even though, have good vibrant colours and are O.K. to watch on Interlaced TVs, they are not good for progressive displays. Original half frames with 2:3 pulldown is a must for DVDs that I buy for my collection (a few exceptions).

BTW other than K3G, KKHH also has original half frames with 2:3 pulldown.

Not seen Milan and Ek Duje Ke Liye myself but from the screen shots they show the same sort of 'quality' as Lal Salaam, Mitr and many of the Ayngaran DVDs. All are non-progressive transfers but are the best in their class as video/interlace transfers.

I wonder if Shemaroo AWAARA, PREM ROG, SSS are progressive transfers. I did not notice excessive blurring or double images in fast action scenes. Minor blurring that I noticed is similar to as in DEI DVDs.
