got my dvd's from IW today and was suprised to see a label on the package saying that the aussie customs have checked my dvd's & resealed the package. has this happened to anyone before?

They must have become suspious since i have been receving dvd's almost every week or they must have done a random check & my package was the unfortunate target.

how many dvds were there? and what is quoted value by IW? and did you ever got custom charges on packages?

canadian customs are big time losers. will put custom on even $20 item if it isn't marked "gift", and even if it is marked "gift" they will put custom charges.

its not about any charges that i am worried about. the fact that they opened the dvd's is a bit unfair. IW clearly mentioned that it contained dvd's & they still had to open it

Khiladi not to be cynical but maybe they thought u had some links with Al_qaeda Otherwise just ignore it..I had some of my DVD packets from IW also opened
But thats great indeed that happened when you ordered from IW..Imagine what would have happened if you had ordered from some "other stores" that promise you a lot of things , You might very well have....ahhh forget abt it...

Dont u have some kind of grevience cell there in Aussie Land ? If so then lodge a complaint against them ..
One query though...How many DVDs did you order ?

i ordered 6 dvd's. got the first 3 on friday which was not opened. then got 3 yesterday & it was opened!

i dont think i want to complain about it. it was just weird that they would suspect something in a parcel that contained dvd's.

Hmmm they opening shipments of 3 DVDs thats pretty wierd I must say :vangry:... But I suppose you shouldnt be worried, as long as the DVds havent been tampered with. Its like you going to a magazine shop and not being able to buy PLAYBOY or PENTHOUSE or HUSTLER (cos ur wife/parents are with you ). So let the poor ol folks at Customs have a sneak peek at your "most colosely guarded secrets"
