Does anyone know if Raja Babu will be re-released anytime soon? I like this movie as it is one of Govindas early comedies that wasnt over done but the Sarkay Lo Katiya song is heavily cut in the movie, I think its only 2 mins now :oops:

Yup you are right... this song is heavily trimmed ! I was enjoying the solo-humps by Karishma in that red dress :D

BTW UL is this the SD or VS version... the version I have is the SD version... So if you have the VS version then that also must have the cut song !

Actually I have been skipping out on the disc for quite some time now in hopes of another version with the full song. The other day, Raja Babu, was on Sur Sagar a Rogers Digital channel and it was the Super Digital version (SD Logo in the bottom right) and remembered on how much I wanted this movie.

Yer right though, Karisma 'n those humps in the red dress, damn :love: :love: :love:

Sorry, this song is not in the VS-6 Pack.

Vol 1 and Vo2 don't have any song of Raja Babu.
Vol 3 has only 1 song from Raja Babu and is not this one. (Raja Babu song is the one prior to this 'Khatia' song)
Vol 4, Vol 5 and Vol 6 are not in the VS-6 Pack. Vol 4 is most likely to contain this song.
Discs # 5 and 6 in the pack are 'Vol 7' and 'Bye Bye 2001'. I did check Vol 7 and didn't find any Raja Babu songs in there. Didn't check BB 2001 as there is no chance there.

So, Video Sound's Vol 4 of 'Hit Songs on DVD' is the best bet, if we can find it.

Even if we find that Disc, what are the chances of that song being complete?? Watching the Raja Babu DVD, its obvious, DVD was made from a worn out film print where damaged film segment has been thrown away. This discarded film, most likely, contained the remainder of the song.

Hey I thought the movie was good, nothing to rave about... and Dil Se, I liked it as well. I like to watch a movie that entertains and thats it and both of these do.

I dunno... I think the film is a disgrace in every sense. It reflects the depravity of the society at that time - and I'm glad that period is over. I know I appear quite prudish but really, I don't think that's the way to infuse sex appeal in a film. It's pretentious.

Aryan come on pal... Govinda was the luckiest actor in Bollywood who had the privelage of getting humps from Shilpa Shirodkar, Ritu Shivpuri in Aankhen (... who can forget Aangana mein Baba duware pe ma... and ek tamanna jeevan ki )..and of cos Raja Babu... Sarkaiye lo Khatiya Jaada lage..

As for the depiction, at least DD was frank enuff to admit his earlier movies sold for their double meaning sequences.
Compare that with Late Dada Kondke's films.... even his film titles were "off the mark" :D (e.g Aandheri Raat mein Diya Tere Haath Mein )... You can have many interpretations of this title !

Too bad, I found out about the vulgarity in Raja Babu. I just received the disc.

I like colorful song sequenes and masala films, not Vulgar or 'embarrasing if watching with family' films.

Raja Ji Songs are not in Vol 4 either.
Raja Ji Songs are in SD's 1-2 Ka Four Songs collection. (Raja Ji songs are progressive). Which ones are in this disc, I don't remember. I don't have this disc any more.

Khatia song is from film Raja Babu and not Raja Ji.
