Can true Dolby Digital 5.1/6.1 sound be achieved using RCA wires? Standard red and white RCA cables? Or is it necessary to use an optical wire to get true Dolby Digital Sound? How many people use their optical out on their DVD player rather than standard RCA..? :D

I know you can use whatever wires (RCA or Optical) you want just as long as your receiver and speaker are hooked up properly, you will get your 5.1/6.1 sound..although having the optical connections wouldn't be bad because they will give you a cleaner sound

Miyan, jitna gud dalo ge(mean sugar) utna meetha ho ga!!
Matlab, RCA are the most inferior connections along with cheapest cables too! come free with most systems.
Optical digital is above that! good cable is most expensive( also called Tos-link) but have jitter problem..hmmm!
Best connection according tp oros is co axial digital..good cable reasonably priced almost half or lesss of tos-liknk..rest up to u..this was IMHO!!?baki, hrithik ki bhi sun lo? tumhar marzi yaar! :baaa: :vsneaky:
