Finally we have a PTV Drama on DVD.... although it will be a direct video transfer, at least we wont have to sit thru 5 casettes.... :) how long do these discs take to come from Pakwebstore.. and how many can u order before u get stung by customs!!

Faddy, for me it has taken about a week and a half from the time of shipping (2 weeks since placing the order). The most I ordered was 3 discs, and I was not charged customs. I am in the Caribbean for now, so I don't know what U.K. experience would be like. :cool:

not like any of you guys will be interested, but i finally got the disc thru.. apparently the drama has to be the best of 2002.. and im glad theres a dvd.. enuff fit women in it...!! :) as for the disc.. its a video transfer, but has been transferred from a very good quality source.. if you guys are not aware.. PTV dramas have to be the most awful vhs coversions ever.. u cant hear anythihng.. and this disc is surprising, its clear and the source used is excellent.. check it out...

Dam! that picture puts most Indian DVDs to shame :laugh: Eros should move their business to new premises :D

I think there's a big demand for Pakistani and Indian dramas on DVD, I've had enough requests from people to source these but to no avail. Usually people settle for inferior 10s of VHS/VCD copies of their favourite drama - thumbs up for these 'pirates' :rolleyes:

Hmmmmm, looks like I'm gonna have to get this - would love to see Tanhaiyan, Dhoop Kinare and Tum Hi To Ho on DVD as well! Pakwebstore - are you listening???

They've squeezed about 4 hours per disc according to the cover. Is there much artifacting? Also, are there English subtitles?

no subs or anything on this disc, but who cares the quality of the video is excellent for a PTV drama, im just trying to take out 8 hours of my time to watch them.. thats the thing with PTV drama, theyre like pringles.. once u pop u cant stop!! it does have artifacting but not noticable too much.. this is definately a buy for any of u PTV drama fans.. and yes i wud luv to see such dramas as Ansoo, Ankhahee, Tum Se Milkar and enuff others.. but i think its the main problem about sourcing the dramas from a decent source!!

They more than likely used the same company to author the DVD who did the 2in1 DVDs which fit sometimes close to 6 hours of content on one DVD :nervous: Obviously there will be some pixel which are evident on big screen tellys (but to the distracting point), and on 27inch tellys its not as evident.

Those Bollywood Hungama (pirate) DVDs that alot of people seem to like on Zulm.net are similar to this PTV drama with sometimes over 4 hours of non-stop filmi songs.
