Lost intrest in the star wars film, Lucus can never top part 5 of the series = The Empire Strikes Back.

I personally think Kevin Smith is doing a whole lot better with the Star Wars jokes in his films then the actual latest editions!

What are you talking about?!? Fine you lost interest, thats granted, Episode I let down some people. Kevin Smith, who I am a big fan of, does some great jokes, and a great director, thats a given. Now you say, "latest editions!" meaning what? Latest Edition of the Star Wars series ok, There is the Phantom Menace, and thats it, you say "Editions" plural, meaning more than one, so are you trying to say that you are already judging Episode II? Are you saying that Kevin Smith is doing better with Star Wars, than Episode I and II? Please Clarify.

Episode II without a doubt will be amazing, technically, and script wise, and it really is pathetic that people judge films without seeing them. :plain:

George Lucas isn't a very good writer or director, IMO. The best film of the first trilogy, "Empire Strikes Back," wasn't even directed by him. I will probably see Episode II, but only to see what a movie that originated in 24p HD looks like.

Star Wars saga was already growing weak since Episode Six: The Return Of The Jedi, I mean come one those Eworks!!! Then episode one was a major let down for me as it was poor both on technical codes and content. Didn't gel out for me. I guess Lucas should stick to story writting and let others directed his films like TESB and the Indy series.

Also for the record I didn't judge the film AOTC, all I said was that I had lost interest in the whole saga. And the plural was a reference to the $pecial edition$ of the last trilogy saga which was relased on cinema a couple of years back.

I do hope ep 2 is a good film so that there is hope for the final film (ep 3) which is the turning point of the overall saga. But with much better sci-fi films releasing it will meet with harsh critisms from fans and filmgoers if the film is just as weak then ep 1.

I think the special effects do look better then ep 1 and the fight seqeunce with yoda does look intresting (and is the one reason I might get this film on DVD along with the making of feature). But I need more then that for a film to be worth watching.

Interesting battle is brewing at the box-office and on the piracy war front. Now there are at least 4 downloadable versions of AOTC VCDs and many millions of people will have seen it around the world. Only today FACT (some crappy Federation Against Copyright Theft) carried out raids in the UK to recover 1000s of DVDs and SVCDs of AOTC. With Spiderman dominating the box office in USA it’s going to be interesting to see how AOTC and Spiderman do battle. Place your bets and see how piracy equation is thrown in by the losing sides at the box-office!
