The World cup is the biggest event ever............

So there is no way someone will lure me to watch boring cricket over the summer......I wouldnt mind watchin a indian film on a large screen while there is no match on

Remeber the World Cup comes once every 4 years and is the biggest event in the world which touches billions except for Yankees who will have there women supporting them this year as Womens Football is massive there....I even quit college for the last world cup

Not suprised myself, apart from it being an entertaining diversion, it must be recognised that Indian cricket scene huge and more importantly lucrative, so lucrative that India can wield kick ass politically over the other test playing nations notably, England. Their last test series against South Africa saw how far India have come they just cocked a snoop at everybody and said bugger off to the Test Match Referee when he banned players for unsporting conduct. Suprisingly the hosts South Africa supported the decision which was not unrelated to some sponsorship deals with Coke Cola of India for the upcoming world cup. Can only be a good thing!!
