The TV series Bharat Ek Khoj has been released on DVD, apparently in two different sets. The first is on 9 discs, with "a lower resolution", and the second is an 18 disc set, which is supposed to be better quality. Would be interested to see the difference on these two sets.

I have the premium set and after seeing it I shudder to think what the image quality on the economy version would be. The image is soft and has a large number of flaws from the source elements. It's still worth getting because there's no other source for this amazing series. The 18 discs are housed in the flimsiest card jacket. The premium pack does have a decent booklet that does a nice per episode synopsis.
