Does the picture and sound fluctuate?

How'd you mean? I didn't notice any sort of fluctuations when I watched it.

On the Indian dvd, there appear to be problems with bass -- jarringly high and not proportionate with rest of the audio.

I might have just missed it. I don't have 5.1 sound system every thing goes through he TV.

I can confirm this and i thought my setup was messed up ! The music for most parts did not gel right and i wonder if its the problem with the dvd or a more general re-recording issue.

As for the film - it felt like a short film stretched to a feature length, the middle portion was more fluff. Complete disappointment esp. when you account this comes from Anurag's camp!
