slightly better than the SILVER ENTERTAINMENT version (which is a pirate) that exists
but...dark picture quality throughout
and...poor VHS-type sound spanned across to 5 channels with hissing etc
also...that annoying layer break halfway through the film
and....blurriness in many scenes

Is that pixilation/blocky-ness on the DVD video or as a result of JPEG compression from the screen shots? I've never seen a DVD this badly pixelated, so I’m guessing it’s a result of high JPEG compression on the screen shots.

The pictures above seem streched. They are 1.5:1

Anyway, you may compare the screen shots from the Eros-DVD to those of the DVD by GOLD:

The shots have been captured at 720x480 instead of 640x480.

i had to compress to JPEG because the file sizes would have been very large

what i will do is pass on the bitmap originals

then u guys decide

but trust me, its a very badly done DVD. it is dark all through the film and the audio is very very very bad (lots of hissing)

the Gold version looks better

The Eros version is not as bad as it seems. The captions taken earlier look squished or compressed for some reason. Here is a caption from the same version:

Stephen Bhai already mentioned this and answered why they were stretched ;)
