#### it looks like the picture was transfered in 4:3 letterbox (without the pull down) then through a snell and wilcox machine was re-calibrated to 16:9 and false pulldown.

Prasad must have used a digibeta supplied by YRF. If you compare this picture to Ayngaran DVDs like Kaaka Kaaka, Boys or DUM then you can see the difference as Ayngaran titles are ture progressive. The Ayngaran titles was transfered with correct pulldown and in 16:9 during telecine stage @ prasad.

Who decides the method of transfer? How can Ayngaran be smart enough and YRF this stupid. Could it be a cost issue?

Oh man, I really can't wait to see this movie. Believe it or not, I haven't seen it yet. :(

The DVD quality doesn't look to be too bad: standard Yash Raj Films fare.

I think this movie was not that good. Not even close to KKHH or some other ones. I saw the movie in the theather and I was bored to death, all those childesh jokes, Sharukh's acting is nothing new. Same acting like in Chalte Chalte, movement and everything nothing new, just repeat acting. Especially the first half of the movie was embarrassing to watch. I know there there are alot of smart people out there, how can anybody spend $15 to $20 to buy this dvd. This movie is not even worth copying. I would not even waste a blank dvd disk on this. It is just amazing how people can like a product like this. Again most Indian movie fans never cease to amaze. I think the only good movie so far this year has been Pinjar, a well acted movie with good storyline. I'll watch Khakee too when it comes out on DVD , but I'm sure it will be just an action packed movie with little substance. After reading most of Zulm's readers I had to write this.

najjib, you probably not gonna believe this, but that is exactly how I feel about KHNH. You just took the words out of my mouth. This movie could've been really something, if it was handled in a more mature way. It had a good story but they ruined it. But, what else can we expect from karan johar. KKHH was his best movie, but still wasn't a great movie. I didn't like k3g either. The first half is indeed embarrasing, especially if u watch with other people, and 2nd half wasn't much better. And Shahrukh, well I like him when he does movies like Asoka, Pardes, Darr, Baazigar, etc. but not these kind of movies. But, no offense to anyone, I know that many people enjoyed this movie.

I'm glad to see some people agree with me. I think Asoka was a very good movie, good songs and for good measure a very good DVD, Pardes is one of my favorites with Sajaan and most of Rajesh Kahnah's movies. These days it seems like in every movie there is Amitabh and that Jahn Abrahm dude. Where have they found this weired guy Jahn Abrahm.

I hate it but out of 100 bollywood movies 90 are based on same script, point - romance - either 2 person loves each other and there father is oppose to that or if father agrees, there is action - mafia - or 2 hero and one is ready to die by end :baaa:

Yes, only difference I see is the way they extended the script, story and directed by making good stages spending lot of $$$. I saw that lord of the rings movies over 300 time in last 2 monts now, every 2 day on starz :D it may not be the best, but it's different never seen anything like that.

What the f*** u guys are complaining about? Do you want an absolute clear picture for $20, go to theatre and watch movies. I have no idea from where these 4 or 5 people came. And this guy sunny... u talking to ppl including mani in Madras.. yeah we believe you....forget it man. get life.

Guys the DVD is good, except it had manufacturing defects. It stops are few chapters, the retailer where I bought the DVD was happy to exchange this with another DVD, but again same problem at the same place [chapter 13, from the beginning for about 20 minutes].

About Thirumalai - the DVD is VERY good. I dont know if you all have 200 inch TV, but in my 36inch HDTV with Bose home theatre, I didnt find any issues. The movie is entertaining, atleast somewhat different from the previous vijay movies.

About future of Tamil industry, mr sunny, take my word, the future is going to be in the hands of actor and actress and not directory. common, how many people like manirathnam movies compared to k s ravikumar, get the message, villiages are the root of india, you cant make a movie for few people in Zulm [and i dont think you guys even but the dvds, you just rent and complaint], the future is going to be in quality, closer to real life movies.

One last word, saw virumandi in theatre, the pirated VHS already out in NJ, but I belive it has been taken from pirated DVD. I am not sure who is releasing the DVD, but its on my must buy collection already.

Well if you don't believe me why don't you call the guys at ayngaran (thier phone number is on the back of thier DVD box) and they will confirm it for ya :)

They will even confirm my meetings with the top Tamil film-makers and financiers, who do control South India cinema...actors only command a price...and a very high one at that!!!

It was ayngaran that arranged my meeting with them!!!
