Yes.

Thanks Dragun. I too confirmed it with Prasad. I don't know what it means technically but it's encoded on Progressive(24 frames). I am guessing this will be standard with all future DVDs done at Prasad. Hopefully, all iDreamDVD.com's (iDream brand only) Telugu DVDs will be Progressive transfer as well from now as we plan to do all our work with them.

The rumours are indeed true, 20th Century Fox have bought rights to the screenplay for the Hollywood version. Rumours are that it is to be directed by Mark Romeck (One Hour Photo). I think this will be a first time when an Indian film is being remade into English.

Also where can I get IDream DVDs? I am curious to watch some of their titles provided it has english subtitles.

Sunny, iDream is a new company with just one title (Donga Ramudu and Party directed by Vamsi) released so far which is not progressive but is similar to best of EVP and Ayangaran titles which are not progressive. Currently, we have few titles being authored at Prasad. I will let you know when they are released. We will have English Subtitles, Jacket Picture, and DVD Text on all our DVDs.

I used lot of information i learnt here at ZULM and from SKANTH to work with Prasad Labs and Mantra in HYD to get the best quality possible for our DVDs. All the pressure from Ayangaran to get progressive encoding at Prasad helped make things easy for us to start off well.

That's good news. Mark Romenck's 'One Hour Photo' with Robin Williams was very good. I wonder who will play Surya's and Jhoythika's roles.

u should be asking YRF about it! LOL!

I think for YRF DVDs Telecine is done in Bombay and only DVD authoring at Prasad Labs, Chennai. For example, Prasad also does Telecine in Hyderabad but they send to Chennai for DVD authoring. I learnt the quality of Telecine done in Hyderabad is not as good as when it's done in Chennai.

Thanks dragunr2 for the translation!

By the way, there is an article here about the english remake of KK but it's in tamil. I hope, once again that someone can translate! :kungfu:

From what I understood, the article doesn't mention any specifics. It mentions that it will be remade in Hindi and Telugu. No mention or Romanek or Fox. The English title is supposed to be "Guarding On."
