I was wondering whether the DVD is on gold or silver media. Can anyone tell!!!

I had read somewhere long time back that DEI were acquiring rights to the movie as well. any hopes of DEI/ BEI doing the movie in the future. Though I think the TTV version is not bad at least the video is anamorphic.

I'd really like to know if its the same transfer as the TIP TOP version. I am happy with the Tip Top version barring the audio. If the audio is better on the BEI, then might go with that for the price.
Screenshots would help........
Thanks
Haroon.

Its the same dvd as released by Tiptop, Although i am not sure of the audio, I will get my dvd hopefully by today and then i can comment on it. Recently, i talked with BEI people and they told me its the same transfer as tiptop video as BEI did processing for them.

The term "Same Transfer" means nothing as we have seen in the past.

BEI Sohni Mahiwaal was 24 fps progressive, as well as, Anamorphic. It was stated to be same transfer as Shemaroo Sohni Mahiwaal that was not Progressive.

Many SuperDigital-VideoSound DVDs were Progressive and mono. Same transfers later turned into VideoSound interlaced DVDs with 5.1 same sound coming from all channels.

Let's wait and see what BEI Shahenshah ends up as.

I got my dvd of shahenshah today and the PQ & AQ is the same :( as tip top, infact there is no difference between the two beside cover. Also, as i dont know the exact definition of gold quality, I can only assure that the dvd is more goldish color than as compared to its previous dvds :D .

Even if there is no apparant difference in video quality, there may difference in type of encoding, i.e. whether Progressive (24 steps per sec) or Pseudo-Prog (30 steps per sec, every 5th step is repeated step) that Tip Top DVD was.
If Progressive, it should give improved PQ on Progressive player-monitor set ups.

So, any confirmation whether it's 24 steps per sec (BEI standard) or 30 steps per sec (Indian Video DVD standard)??

Similarly, any confirmation whether it's 2 Ch Mono or Stereo?? Was the film audio in stereo at all?? Was the LP record in simulated stereo or real stereo??
