Precisely Malfunxion.... _rb_ pls refer to the reviews of the film, posted on sites which are :-
1.) In no way related to Hrithik Roshan/Rani Mukherjee/Kareena Kapoor (Fan sites for example)

2.) Have in some way finiancial interests in the film (like Sulekha which is heavily publicizing the film)

What i mean by reviews is that I am talking abt reviews by professioinal film critics and not Morons like TARAN adarsh ( who is a loser ).
I think this will be aptly justified when Khalid Mohammed gives us his review of the film !

the movie was alright, nothing extra special, but deserving of one viewing at least. the song picturizations weren't very good in my opinion but i loved the medley; i was smiling throughout. kareena and rani looked good in their various outfits. the choreography could have been better. and above all, the reason why it isn't the greatest of movies, is that the storyline is just too predictable. i'm really disappointed at the quality of bollywood films this year.

Interesting points that should be considered. What was your favorite scene in the movie Sknath? Wait..... Did you even see the movie?!?! How about adding:
3) Reading opinions from people who have an actual reason to write one because they ACTUALLY SAW THE MOVIE. :bangbang:

Hmmmm, now reviews from the the MDK website.
C'mon guys, why don't we just ask the Enron execs to evaluate if their business practices were ethical.
Once again, I just want to state that I'm not trying to put down the the movie, but atleast get some reviews from sites not affiliated with the MDK cast and crew.
You find lots of good customer reviews of Eros DVDs on their site because they understandably don't post the negative feedback. How can you expect a negative review on the website of a product when the site's sole purpose is to promote the product.

Geez Naven.. once again it goes to show ur intelligence at not reading my statements carefully... I think MDK *is* a film that has been *promoted and released* under the YASHRAJ Label... Or do I (or any uninformed folks like me) have to draw any other conclusions from your post :)

Better luck next time ! :D
As for who the administrator is..Ali is the administrator, which goes to show you didnt bother to care abt the Link that I had posted, cos if you did you wouldnt be saying that anyways :)
Again
Better luck next time ! :D

I agree with you to read reviews from ppl who are not fans of HR or Rani or Kareina or have nutin to do with MDK but if you bothered to go to the angels website you would have seen that they have posted reviews from Taran to Times of India and from Non-fans who actully liked the movie and ones who did not :baaa: :baaa: :baaa: so you didn't really answer the question did you see the movie?? if yes, i could not find your review :turn:

Hrithik still looking for that elusive hit
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

IANS [ TUESDAY, AUGUST 13, 2002 1:58:18 PM ]

NEW DELHI: A good opening notwithstanding, Mujhse Dosti Karoge might become more a cause for worry than joy for film star Hrithik Roshan.
Follow-up reports on the film are not very encouraging even though a leading Bollywood production house is backing it.

For Hrithik, who became an overnight sensation in 2000 with his debut Kaho Na...Pyaar Hai, has been struggling to resurrect his hit status at the box-office.

And so the poor reviews and falling collections of his latest film spell bad news.

Mujhse Dosti... has reportedly done average business so far in Rajasthan, Bihar, West Bengal, Gujarat and Punjab -- with the exception of Chandigarh -- and is said to be doing well only in cities like Mumbai, some multiplexes in Delhi, Pune and some centres in southern India.

Critics have trashed Hrithik's performance in debutant director Kunal Kohli's Mujhse Dosti... with many calling it unoriginal.

Film critic and columnist Komal Nahta says: "Hrithik Roshan overacts most of the time. He looks terrific, no doubt, and also dances extremely well but in the acting department, he fails to win the audience over."

Agrees film critic Taran Adarsh: "Hrithik Roshan does what he has been doing since his first film -- flash the by-now-famous smile, look smashing in designer outfits and dance exceptionally well. That's about it!"

Most critics concur, saying Hrithik displays his "already-seen-before" acts of making faces and shaking a leg or two.

Others are more scathing.

"Hrithik the heartthrob is finished and it is his mistake to select such faltu (useless) films. Such a brilliant actor has wasted his talent on such type of crap," says the reviewer of ebolly.com.

A review in hindustantimes.com says: "Hrithik Roshan looks as prim and proper as (model-turned-actress) Aishwarya Rai would if she were to ramp-walk again."

This after the actor has gone on record to say that the film's script compelled him to do something more.

"In Mujhse Dosti... I have definitely gone beyond my self-imposed restrictions. The dialogues are so beautifully written and the scenes so amazing that I couldn't help doing something extra in every scene," Hrithik said in one media interview.

Reports that in several places in India exhibitors refused to take the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Devdas off to screen Mujhse Dosti... will only add to his woes.

According to box-office estimates, the profit margins of Hrithik's films have decreased since 2000, with many films barely recovering costs.

Among his solo hero films, only Kaho Na..., made with Rs 10 crore, had earned Rs 34 crore.

His first solo-hero release this year, Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage, was made for Rs 11.5 cr but earned only Rs 7 crore. Similarly Na Tum Jaano Na Hum was made for Rs 15 cr but made Rs 8 cr.

While Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (K3G), which cost Rs 40 crore to make, was declared a hit after making approximately Rs 60 crore at the Indian box-office, the credit went to Shah Rukh, Kajol and the legendary Amitabh Bachchan.

Critics initially explained away Hrithik's other flops Mission Kashmir, Fiza and Yaadein as audience rejection for a two-bit role in the films. But now much water has flown under the bridge.
He still has some good films in his kitty like Sooraj Bharjatya's Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon, Farhan Akhtar's Lakshya and his father Rakesh Roshan's Koi Mil Gaya.

And there is still that stray generous review.

Says Web site planetbollywood.com's verdict: "Hrithik Roshan may constantly be bashed by the media, and in some sense rightfully so. Yet Mujhse Dosti... is far better than the overly boring and poorly made Yaadein and Aap Mujhe...."

prince while I agree with most of the points, I am a little leery about these critics.

If the same films were hits, they would be saying Hrithik is the best actor in India if no the world. Unfortunately most of the analysis/review/critique of films in India revolves around the box office performance of the film

Duh _rb_ again :) Let them movie be No#1 in the US/UK BO charts... The population there is miniscule when comapared with the Big daddy of them all... that of India.. 1 billion+. Surely a film is declared a hit or a flop based on the respose you get from a Billion+ audi9ence rather than a few 100(exxagerating) thousand folks in the Uk/USA/Canada ?...

Naz...agreed... Taran Adarsh suckzzz... Koaml Nahata is neutral and Khalid Mohammed( Sala Kahan chupa hua hai... why isnt he coming forward with his review ?) is still the best when it comes to his reviews ?...
I havent even seen or heard from Bhavana Somayya (is she still alive ? ) and her review ?
