If you think 2 DVD's is hardly killing a movie, then Devdas is already dead! At a local store, I was looking for the official Devdas 2 Disc DVD, and I only ended up with *sigh* 6 different Devdas DVD's. I've looked around at other stores, and seen different multiple versions. This film is dead!

how, exactly, does releasing multiple dvds kill a film?

If EROS had RE RELEASED even a SINGLE DISC, GOOD PQ transfer of DEVDAS after DEBACLE of LIMITED EDITION, I know! Many must have bought it!! Second time too...with 1-2 bucks cheaper price point..

They have ALREADY MILKED ENOUGH MULLAH FOR MOVIE AND CRAPPY DVD! but there is no end to GREED! :nopity: :bangbang:

I think kishi ji was talking only from his point of view :p

T2 has had many versions and another one upcoming yet that film is not dead...

Evil Dead 3 has three versions and is still a cult classic and not dead...

Well only 3 versions of T2:

1. Live Entertainment - plain vanilla version. I don't think it was anamorphic. 1st RSDL disc in R1.
2. Artisan - Ultimate Edition 2 disc
3. Artisan - another 2 disc version coming.

And of course Anchor Bay has milked the Evil Dead franchise for all its worth.

Seems like Shemaroo have picked and chose their Anamorphic treatment with certain films in the
Gulshan Rai collection.

Vidhaata (First film under production house shot in cinemascope) = Anamorphic
Tridev = Non Anamorphic
Vishwatma = Non Anamorphic
Mohra = Anamorphic
Gupt = Anamorphic
Pyar Ishq Aur Mohabbat = Anamorphic
Asambhav = Anamorphic

i just hope they don't have discs replicated at jet speed. and that they do uncropped transfers and not 2.20:1 or 2.10:1 instead of 2.40:1 or 2.35:1.
