I think its called "divine" justice !... S/L entered the S6 by virtue of the D/L method !

They would have entered anyway even without the win. The NRR would have been better than NZ. So NZ, SA and Kenya would have advanced.

India 43-0 after 10 overs, India won the toss. Rain still roaming so looking good for India.

...and Pakistan drop most of their squad :nopity: only person I feel sorry for is Saqlain, he is world class and wasn’t even given a chance in this world cup.

Sehwag out for 33. India 97/1 in 23.1 overs..

about the pakis new squad. actually that was a really good move. arrogant people like shoaib & afridi needed something like this to happen to them. Wasim Akram i assumed was going to retire after the world cup so no big suprise with him. Waqar & Inzaman just didn't perform well enough to give them another chance. good decision by the paki selectors.

India: 170 for 1 at 36.5 overs.

Sachin 80, Ganguly 48. Both still playing.

What you mean by max score - maximum achievable by a team in 50 overs? Impossible to determine because of no-balls and wides.

Highest ever scored was by Sri Lanka against Kenya, 398-5.

Saeed Anwar I think still holds the record for the highest ODI score of 194 against India.

Tendulkar has scored the most runs (10k+) in one day cricket.

Thanks Ali.

I was wondering about the max score ever scored in 50 overs. So its 398 by Kenya CORRECTION: its 398 by Sri Lanka. May be Kenya can achieve it, against India??

BTW, ignoring No Balls, the max acievable in 50 overs is 1800 (Six, off every ball).

I wonder if any fantasy movie ever showed our super heroes scoring 1800 against the World Champions. Why not. LOL.
