The first VHS transfer was for 10 minutes and the second one only for 32 second. Its good that they had these two VHS in seperate chapters.
I just got hold of the BEI "Junglee" DVD. I'm
very pleased with both the picture and the sound, but there is a problem: I think I'v come across those "VHS" segments of which you spoke (and thank god I read this thread first, or I'd've been really pissed [and confused] about what exactly the hell happened). They, in fact, are much longer than you have indicated. The "bad print" occurs twice: the first time, it lasts from 1:34:39–1:44:02; and the second, from 1:54:18–2:03:54. Am I the only one who has noticed this? During these portions of the film, the quality is exceptionally bad, and the portions certainly stand out in relation to the rest of the movie. That said, it's really not much worse than what you'd expect to find on a "Sky" DVD, so — considering the rest of the film, and how good it looks (and sounds) — this flaw is (in my view) permissable.
