The DVD of Maqbool is out in India by Music Today Home Video. Does anyone own any DVDs by Music Today?? If so how is the PQ.

I haven't bought this DVD yet in India, not sure about how the PQ will be.

Others may have answered this already -- The Music Today DVD of Maqbool is average quality in terms of both audio and video. The audio is not clear at some places and you have to really strain hard to hear what was said. (Music Today is part of India Today.) Now this is not to say that all Music Today DVDs may be that bad.

Recently, I believe Music Today license expired for Maqbool or something happened, and now Maqbool is available on Eagle DVD, one of the worst DVD companies in the world. So beware.

Both Music Today and Eagle are in the Indian market. Anyone aware of any U.S. or U.K. release of Maqbool?

Okay, I just watched the film on a DVD by Eagle. Excellent film, btw!

The DVD is pretty bad: it has all the audio coming from mostly the front speaker, soft picture, maybe brighter than the Music Today version and more vivid colours but I'm not sure (I say this on basis of the above Music Today shots), and the picture is cropped from sides after beginning credits are over. Just like DEI's DIL SE. I hate it when they do that. :x Main menu is different, but other menus are the exact same menus from the Music Today version.

I couldn't wait any longer for YRF to release the film on DVD. :(

mamamiya!!! the way eagles butchered, trashed the dvd, as worse it could go down from music india version.

cropped!!  Indian dvds rule!! lrets go HDDVD!

I would like Amitabh to watch this film, carefully and see how good, natural, understated actors like Irfan Khan and Pankajh Kapoor act!it might help, but :( in his case even Bhrdwaj direction would not help much as he is director to himself indirectly!
