i watch lot of movies man....u can call me a movie freak or buff :) ....i can tell even from a tiny bit if the director steals it or uses it in his/her movie.....i watch lot of international movies as in chinese, japananese, some french, some korean and many more...so u can see, there is no way the director can fool me :) ....i even have taste for malayalam, tamil, telengu etc....i watch all sorts of pakistan dramas aswell (considered best in the world for dramas)....i have watched almost every single movie that is made in America....how can i resist that man...its all free up here....i get my dvds from library...every new release that hits in DVD, i get it in my library :) ....and i can keep it for 5 days....my library is just like a blockbuster....anyways, to get back to the story, well the director took conecpts from popular movies so its easy to guess....i suggest you watch the american version for better performance....Reservior dog was considered the best hardcore movie all time...its the best selling dvd in usa....very gruisom, bloody and vulgur....heat was good also especially for the fight scenes which in some parts they have the gun whoppings for atleast 5 min.....see that one of the trailer in Kaante, where i think it was "SUNIL SHETTY" with a machine gun firing at the cops, that part in HEAT is like almost 5 min when their crew gets caught between police....give it a try then see Kaante...cause i am sure Kaante is computerized like MATRIX type, which messes the direction very bad....anyways thats just my opinion....

Hindustan Times Newspaper.....

Chief among releases that week is Sanjay Gupta's long-delayed gangster epic "Kaante" featuring a bevy of macho stars from Amitabh Bachchan to Sanjay Dutt.

Sold at an exorbitant rate, exhibitors in many parts of the country intend to hike ticket rates to cash in on the craze for the film, which is a take-off on Quentin Tarantino's "Reservoir Dogs".

Look at that....didnt i told you its a remake...dam i figured that shit out huh...dam i am good :)

What do you mean "figured out"? We all knew that Kaante was a remake of RD a long time ago.

If you're referring to my comment, it's called sarcasm.
Not to say that I wasn't impressed by Master_J's knowledge of other cinemas.

No, I could tell that your comment was sarcastic RNJBOND. I was referring to Master J's post saying, "dam i am good" for "figuring out" that Kaante was a remake of Reservoir Dogs:

Master J, I direct you to this post from Faddy:

Kaante, which has been inspired by Quentin Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs, was shot in 26 days flat with the help of a highly professional international crew.

I saw the full Kaante trailor on TV on Friday... it was absolutely amazing. Jaw-dropping visuals and action scenes. I hope it'll actually turn out well.

KAANTE will be a big hit like Ek Chhoti ----, as Shiv Sena is opposing it.

Controversies help.

Speaking of Kaante, I thought that a Hollywood distributor was interested in this film and the word was that 20th century fox was interested in making its DVD, this is certainly news to me but since when did Media Partners get a hold of this films DVD rights? Whatever happen to the plans of promoting this film at an international scale?

Oh my god, let it be true. Please god dont give the rights to EROS. Cant stand another Devadas out of Kaante.[B]

from TOI

We’ve got information that the film hasn’t been cleared by the censor board yet and that there are differences between the producers and the director. The release was previously delayed from December 6 to 13 and now to 20. However, the distributors are not yet sure of the release dates. It will be no surprise if the film is delayed to January," informs Anand Cinema in Secunderabad.
