I say, it's Field Averaged ??

I'd disagree. Although there's blurring, there's no actual ghosting. Moving images always blur, even in progressive video. I think ravstardeluxe is right - this is another Fanaa-esque quality disc from YRF. Let's hope they keep it up.

Well, I was testing myself. That's why I put '??' after my comment. I also noticed Arsh rented it already. So, Arsh, is it Prog or not ??

It's not entirely progressive. DGIndex is showing some interlaced fileds. It is same quality as Fanaa dvd. This dvd suffers from very low bitrate. Average bitrate is 3-4 mpbs and highest bitrate is around 6 mpbs. Main disc is 7.34 gigs. They would have used up more space to give more bitrate to the video. Dobly 2.0 audio could have been skipped to give more bitrate to video as well. But again, better than other Yash Raj dvds we have seen.

IMO it looks like digibeta source, thats had some frames deinterlaced. Also the picture is too dark.

Sunny, any idea on what's up with all the blue we've been seeing on Indian DVDs over the past year or so? :?:

Just bad colour correction and at times poor grading, and telecine work.

The blue tint is gone on the newly-released German DVD...

Looks to be the one to get.

I don't think so.

It appears that they used the same digitbeta source as the YRF release, and tweaked the colours on the PC. It is not a new transfer and it has not been colour corrected on 2/4k Davinci at the telecine stage.

That's the usual REM practise - they've never done an original transfer as far as I know. Still, theirs is at least more pleasing to look at.
