BTW, tech terms have been defined lots of times in lots of posts to the point that this thread was started, trying to stop mentioning those terms.
BTW, "FA" word was used by mhafner first and I found that it fit perfectly to what I was seeing in many Indian DVDs when advancing frames step by step.

faddy, let me save you the trouble. only reason i come to zulm IS to get info about good dvds and good films, true. but having been following indian dvds for the past many years, you, me, and the rest of zulm should ALREADY know how craptacular hindi dvds already are. so if you are coming to find out whether or not you should order bootleg from pakistan or not, order it! coz the original won't be any better. kthxbye

idream is a perfect example of improvement for telugu dvds. ONLY problem is that they are the DEI of the telugu dvd industry, and the rest of the brands are the EROS and YRF VIDEO SOUND etc of the telugu industry. meaning..though they have quality product, they still need to make some money (which i highly doubt they are) in order to purchase high(big budget) quality film rights. they do not have a big collection yet. i'm hoping for 2 things - 1) people STOP pirating idream dvds, and purchase ALL(even if low budget movie) iDream dvds to support them for future releases - 2) KAD(eros, yrf) follow in the footsteps of idream to provide us "SOBS" with same quality dvds as idream, which in due time, they will thanks to iDream! then i will be a happy camper. I wish the same for Tamil dvds. hindi movies are craptacular to begin with, so I stopped caring for hindi films, other than a handful of films that already have craptacular dvds anyway

Guys, I agree with ali's point, when all are crap, then why to review!! Precisely! Why to buy either for $5 or $25 you are getting same junk.
So, instead of calling FA, say "FA/SAME CRAP(SC). or SAME EXPENSIVE CRAP(SCP)..How about that??

I personaly dont see even in coming generations, that KUTTE KI DUMM eros, yrf etc will turn around for quality, rather turn further back to see where they can pinch more pennies out of stupid hindi dvd consumers like us..i.e called penny pinchers in essence!

I guess by having a very cheap hardware setup ( 32" TV with a pre-packaged home-theater sound system), at most times I don’t pickup some of the flaws on DVD .

However that said (and if my vote counts), I am cool with hearing the technical short comings of Indian DVDs.

A few things to watch out for. When you do buy those pirates please, please count your steps! These pirates should be ref quality, prog and not interlaced field average with the original aspect ratio and do be carefull regarding the proper pulldown. How to be sure you are getting the right goods you asked? Well hopefully Rana will step in now and give a last minute DETAILED instruction on how to perform those tasks!
