I sent a disc for replacement to their Sacramento address and it went to Tennassee.

Bollywood Entertainment
458 Distribution 1 Pkwy
Collierville, TN 38017

I don't know about the phone number, the dvd that I received, still has the same CA address and phone on the back.

I dunno yaar, I sent it on new year's eve, then about a week later I checked the tracking number and it said something like the zip code was incorrect. Then another about a week later, it said the item was delivered in Collierville, TN. I seriuosly thought I put the wrong address, and it went to someone's house. But this past Saturday, I received the disc with that return address.

So yea, strange indeed. Maybe they notified usps to forward their mail to that address. Maybe they're moving, or have moved. I dunno.

It has been mentioned often (for years) that J. Ompraksh films (starting with Aa) North American rights are with BEI. When actually will we see them and are they worth the wait?? Hope, rights don't expire before they release the DVDs :P .

In the mean while, I purchased a few of these J. Omprakash DVDs on Shemaroo label. As in the past, Shemaroo DVDs that come out before BEI release, do give some indication to BEI release quality.

Here are indicators from Shemaroo release DVDs:

Aayee Milan Ki Bela: Someone reported earlier it's terrible. I agree. It's PAL to NTSC converted field averaged. Made from a faded and perhaps 10th copy VHS. Unless BEI does a new telecine from original film, avoid.

Aas Ka Panchhi: PAL to NTSC converted field averaged but not as bad as Aayee Milan Ki Bela.

Aaye Din Bahaar Ke, Aaya Sawan Jhoom Ke, Aankho Aankhon Mein, Aap Ki Kasam: Pseudo-Progressive. Clear 3-2 pull down avail. Good PQ. BEI version sure will be Progressive even if they use same telecine.

Aan Milo Sajna: Didn't receive this DVD (has been on back order for over 3 months). Getting hint from above mentioned DVDs, this probably is Pseudo-Prog. So, I expect a Prog DVD from BEI.

Bit rate: As normal, Shemaroo bit rate is 3-5 mbps. BEI bit rate normally is 5-8 mbps. As BEI don't waste bits on unnecc. fields (25%), effective bit rate should be twice of Shemaroo.

I've pretty much given up on looking forward to new BEI DVDs after seeing their last few titles. Disappointing to say the least.
