Arsh pata karo Sandish se..what happened here ? why the *&*& did he use a Beta-Master ?.. Or is he trying to cut costs in lieu of quality ?...and if i am not mistaken..Apradh is pseudo-progressive... this one is Interlaced to the core !

I think, EROS has a lot of titles, including DISCO DANCER, that BEI, will be doing! How they will be sharing rights of those beta masters, i dont know?

Out of the, what we call, thoroughly interlaced or field averaged DVDs, I noticed that its 6th field is a repeated field and has varying degrees of noise. In the better of these field averaged DVDs, this repeat pattern can be seen. This clearly indicates a PAL to NTSC transfer.

I'm sure the reason behind field averaged NTSC DVDs is the PAL to NTSC transfer.

In the case of Disco Dancer too, looks like, a PAL master is all, BEI did get hold of.

Yep, it looks like REM have used Shemaroo's PAL master. Seems the one to get for sure.

Remark With “Disco Dancer” digs REM for the first time a Bollywoodfilm from the 80ern out from the time, in which the films were “original” still. Whereby “Disco Dancer” is transferred already also with ideas from the west. The image quality became amazingly good: The sharpness can be able to be seen and offers both pleasant values in the detail and within the edge range. The colors are strong as if the film would be only a few years old and also the contrast pleases.
Only weakness of the picture are the frequently arising contamination, tread and other smaller defects. But times honestly: Straight ones belong to nevertheless to the film and lend to it the trashige note, which it needs. I am anyhow very content with the conversion!
Evaluation (3.5/5)

from that review, if you can copy some SS here?
