Why O why do they need to get a Hispanic to play an Indian maratha girl? Isn't it better to get an Indian girl to play an Indian maratha girl? An Indian girl would at least know how to speak the language or if speaking in English speak with an Indian accent. A Hispanic girl putting on an Indian accent would sound too funny and make the whole film look like one big joke. In the whole of India and US can't they find one single Indian girl for this role? Or is there something wrong with Indian girls that they are not chosen?

There was this talk then (Aug of 2002)...but that has been laid to rest by the signing of Aishwarya Rai to do the role...so then this is all moot....
