Aish has what it takes to be bond girl. Nothing more nothing less. Perfect match.

Her inhibitions are fine for a run of the mill Hollywood movie, but for a break in a James Bond film, who knows??

Aish is no dummy.
Aishwarya is grace under fire, say friends

Its no secret that Aish is my favorite Indian actress and quite obviously the most beautiful woman of our Indian generation. As the article and the comments that followed it said, Aishwarya is the only Indian celebrity at the moment who has the potential to go abroad and succeed internationally. Whatever her critics may say, even they ultimately cannot deny that she commands so much respect from the film community and her fans.

Considering that shes a) Now on the jury of the Cannes film festival b) Is starring in Chadha's 'Bride and Prejudice' in English c) the first Indian actress to even be approached to be a Bond Girl, its really quite apparent that shes doing so much for us Indians. Its very irritating to see people criticizing her even though shes just had an accident and a fracture. Arm chair critiques are way too easy to do!

Accident or not, people can criticise. There are worse actresses than Aish, but there are probably better ones as well. I think much of the criticism comes from the projects she picks. IMO she has yet to pick a brilliant film in which to star. At least "Iruvar" was with Mani Ratnam, but the film itself was only alright. And if she does become a Bond girl, at least she'll be better than Denise Richards!

As Homer Simpson would say, "Fun, too." :p

no one's saying ash is a totally bad actress, like amisha, or kareena ( :doze: ), but she's not that great...

she can dance really well, she's really beautiful, but she's no kajol or madhuri...

look at her two biggest hits - devdas and HDDCS - they had her in a "classic" type of role. then compare that to DKR, where it was a more "modern" role....it becomes obv there, that she is much better doing the former...

so i just think she wouldn't suit being a bond girl- but if it happens, wow! :) i'll be the first in line... :;):

Interesting points. Maybe this whole thing has to do with America's investments in India than the fact that Ash actually has talent!! They're gonna reap millions from the Indian Market in India and abroad with her as the Bond Girl. It reminds me of the time when the Miss Universe and Miss World contests were being criticized for handing the titles to girls from India because India was an up and coming global investment paradise ground and due to all the multinationals.

I dunno...when I see Sri Devi...I just laugh...and laugh...I don't know what it is. The nose? The silly high pitched strongly accented voice? The clothes? Or the moustache she shaves now and then? :bash:

That said, I loved Lamhe. :D
