Sorry I must have worded it wrongly. I was at his last concert in Toronto which was in 2000, the one in Toronto this year is on March 23rd.

The other one in 2000 had many tamil hits but he also did some very popular numbers from Dil Se, Rangeela, Bombay, Taal and some others.

i visited the official bombay dreams website (http://www.bombaydreamsthemusical.com) and found some interesting things.

first, you can listen to music from the musical and even watch some video clips of the songs.

second, the casting dept. of the musical is looking for people in the canada and us, so if you think you have a shot, just send in your resume and pic to the address listed at the sight (under the news and reviews section).

third, there's supposed to be a dvd coming out of "the making of bombay dreams" so look out for that.

I saw this last Summer in London, it was good but not as great as made out. The best part of the show was 'shakalaka baby' they even re-did a portion of it at the end which went down well. I didn't see Ayesha Dharkar though, instead it was Sophiya Haque who did her role as Rani - the tempress and she was great. I think it would be good to change the main actors because I didn't like their choice of leads at all! However it's very hard to find suitable asian actors in the UK who can perform every night like that, sing well and are willing to do certain stuff...[(e.g kissing) - I heard a murmur behind me when that scene happened!]. :;):

Smart money-making ploy. When Bombay Dreams starts to become unpopular expect them to release a DVD & VHS of the entire show!

Or expect someone who somehow snuck in a miniDV camcorder to put that on DVD, proper Desi-style!
