Interestingly Humraaz is not being distributed by Eros in the UK cinemas - according to the BBFC site Venus Entertainment (Europe) Ltd are the distributors :wot: :keh:

you sour pusses should go out and support this film instead of whining about the dvd.

HUMRAAZ was wicked, I loved it, and Amisha is friggin hott, this film was unpredictable, and Akshaye impressed.

good movie,

ez

Guys I must amend my position here.
This film has been inspired by Dial M For Murder / A Perfect Murder (in only a small manner)... But Akshaye who didnt get a hit in his career (TAAL cannot be called a Hit and Border was more a multi star cast film), may have hit the jackpot with this film !
Abbas-Mastaan have given us a slick film (which was jarred by the rather silly ending ! ).. Maybe thats why folks back home in India will actually like this film (had it been Bobby being bumped off it would have been really a flop...and it goes to show that Desi directors tend to be repetitive).

Amisha surely should improve her bust line if she has to look a lil but HOT.. Her smiles are really artificial ... But Akshaye !
Wah...no doubt he is getting da Best villian of the year award :)

Definitely, worth watching it in a Big Screen Big Sound theatre. Too bad, Devdas pushed this movie from most of the theatres where it would still be playing otherwise. Not to be missed.

HUMRAAZ plot is similar to A PERFECT MURDER, is well known. Actually, Humraaz had a little more twists and turns than 'A Perfect Murder'.

There is another Hollywood movie with a similar plot. U-TURN starring J.Lo, Sean Penn and Nick Nolte. Looks like U-TURN was inspired by 'A Perfect Murder' and Humraaz was inspired by both.

BTW, I think Humraaz DVD by EROS is Pseudo-progressive. I will check it tonite.

What's the matter with you, dude? You think it is cool to spoil movies and not even have a SPOILER tag in your message. All I can say is that it is not a cool web practice to have.

Ali, can you please edit this message as well?

I have seen Humraaz but there are many people out there that have not. Generally, it is a good idea to say that you are going to post a SPOILER before posting one. Just to give people a warning.

I am sure, rahul_modi or Ali will edit/ delete the spoiler line.

Anyway, I liked Humraaz better than 'A Perfect Murder' as Humraaz had more twists and turns in the story. Of course it had great songs too. At the time, I thought that the extra twists in the story were original. But it looks like the additional plot to the story might have been inspired by U-Turn.

Even if inspired by other movies, the detail plot in Humraaz is different than the two Hollywood movies I mentioned. Overall, I liked Humraaz the best of the three, mainly due to suspense and its great songs.

Watched it last night. Will have a DVD review ready soon.
I thought it was quite decent except for the Bollywood
ending which is way over the top. Why does the hero always
have to beat the bad guy to a pulp in a very unrealistic
manner, fighting a whole bunch at the same time plus
plenty of splatter shots? It's so silly.
:( Baazigar had the same problem. Kind of ruins the overall impression for me.
