If I were supreme dictator of the world, my first decree would be that new films cannot use the same title as a previous film (unless they are a remake of that film).

When I saw this thread, I thought that there was finally a DVD of the 1960's Ishmail Merchant-James Ivory film "The Guru" which is loosely based on George Harrison's stay in India to learn sitar from Ravi Shankar.

The Guru, what a bunch of bollocks, there are two guys in it from east is east, one is the main star (guru) the other is his mate in america who invites him.
This film is shit, I dont think it appeals to anyone, its a bland attempt at trying to make a comedy, guru is annoying as ####, never even liked him in east is east.
The film does have similarities to the holy man in some parts.
